This book is one of overcoming adversity and beating the odds. Many people don’t even know that Tay-Sachs is not always a fatal disease.
I was born with Tay Sachs. Infantile Tay Sachs is terminal usually by age 4. Late Onset Tay Sachs or LOTS is not terminal, but is neurodegenerative and has similar symptoms to Multiple Sclerosis and Muscular Dystrophy.
I am 53 years old, and am living with this horrible disease.
There is no cure for it, although I pray every day for such!
